Modern Circus Nursery Mood Board

A touch of whimsy, a edge of energy with a calming backdrop was my inspiration for this modern take on the circus-themed nursery.  I wanted to make sure the nursery had a circus vibe without feeling like a full-on circus–kids can add that element of excitement and chaos on their own.  Also, no clowns in this nursery.  They scare me.  I began with the elephant pillow and let the nursery take shape …continue…

Viewer’s Choice Nursery Mood Board

A few weeks ago, we gave you readers three choices and asked which option you’d like to see us build a mood board around. With mixed results, we decided to go with the two pieces of furniture that had votes. We incorporated the dandelion dresser into the Purple Passion toddler room, and now we’ve created a nursery around the Finn rocker from Anthropologie.  What do you think? Under the Sea Mood Board

Seahorse Mobile in Red by Flensted 3. …continue…

The result is a very streamlined, modern nursery with a …continue…

Claire’s Nursery

Before I started designing Claire’s nursery, my sister told me her criteria: 1. appropriate for boy or girl (we found out it was a girl, but she still wanted it gender neutral) 2. inexpensive 3. based on the Little Prince, a childhood favorite of …continue…
