It’s past 1am and I just got back into bed from Eleanor’s room. She started crying, and I went to tend to her. Now, we don’t ways rush to her rescue, but a busy schedule lately and a last minute trip home for Brandon (family emergency, everything is thankfully fine now) has left E a little out-of-sorts lately. Anyway, back to my story. I went in the nursery, picked her up and put her pacifier in her mouth, at which point she put her arms around me with her head on my shoulder and relaxed immediately.

I stood there for a few moments swaying back and forth with her, reveling in the sweet moment. I know I will look back on times like this and be so thankful that I took the extra moment to snuggle my sweet baby–these fleeting times go too quickly!

I’m a softie when it comes to Eleanor–that girl just melts my heart absolutely.
