Up, up and away! A nursery for a little superhero. Maybe Jackson thinks he is already a superhero because he is always trying to fly (fall) off of the arms of the couch. Last week I posted about the halloween costume I’m making for him and this week I am dreaming up what his superman alter ego would like for a bedroom. His alter ego is sophisticated but playful. Superman has been around for awhile (1938 to be exact) so he appreciates the classic design of the rocker and fan but is looking towards the future in the dresser, crib and light fixture. With a nod to the comics this nursery is perfect for my little hero.
And can I just say, I’m in love with the super hero pillow. I’m putting it on my list of things to make.
1. Crib by Spot on Square
2. Comic Letter by the letteroom (found via Homemade Charlotte)
3. Pillow from Etsy
4. Rug from Ikea
5. Rocker from Urban Outfitters
6. Dresser from Ikea
7. Vintage Fan found via pinterest. Look for one on ebay, etsy or find a vintage look at Target or similar.
8. Comic shelves found here. If you know your way around some power tools this is not a terribly hard DIY. But sadly, I can’t find it sold in the US.
9. Pendant from Ikea
10. Print by Justin Vangenderen

I love the comic book shelves!!
