(All images courtesy of Edyta Szyszlo Photography) Today’s post is showcasing these adorable baby shower invites done by my friend Edyta! New Years Day with Jackson

New Years Day was a big errand day for me–I had my car in the city (a very rare occasion) and needed to take it back to my parents, so I decided to make the most out of it and go visit Erica and little Jackson. What a sweet little punkin he is! I got to snuggle him for a little bit before I photographed him. I can’t believe he’s …continue…

Bump Day: Erica @ 25 Weeks

Well by now this doesn’t take much introduction.  We’re continuing on with Erica’s pregnancy, showcasing her 25 week shoot.  We shot these after our stamp-a-thon for her vintage Lake Tahoe baby shower invitations by the water in Oakland, around Jack London square. I’m always amazed by the growth between the late teen week shoot (around 17-19 weeks) as compared to the shoot in 20-25 week range. It always seems there’s …continue…

Found: Whale Pillow

The other day I received an email from my friend Jessi with a link to this adorable very hungry whale pillow from Coral and Tusk We had already posted the Anchors Away nursery, but this would be a perfect addition to throw on the rocker.  According to the website description, the pillow has an illustration of a whale who swallowed a shark who swallowed a pegleg captain who swallowed a …continue…

Vintage Thank You cards

This moody Monday is going vintage again. It’s a follow up of our vintage Tahoe postcard invitations shown here. Every thoughtful gift deserves a proper thank you card. We have received so many wonderful gifts – Jackson will be the best dressed kid on the block for at least the next year! For our thank you cards I wanted to create a card to complement the vintage postcard invites we created …continue…

4 weeks, 10 products

I don’t know if I can’t believe it’s already been 4 weeks or that it’s only been 4 weeks. It seems so long ago that we were in the hospital meeting Jackson for the first time – and yet we’re still amazed that we really are parents. This is the brand-new mom follow-up to the maternity must have post. I have found several items that got me through the first …continue…

Bump Day: Moné at 23 Weeks

It’s time to catch up with Moné’s pregnancy! We got together last in the middle of December and were joined by her husband Abe. It’s always fun capturing the excitement of an expecting couple. Luckily the weather cooperated, and we were able get some photos outside around the Ferry Building downtown. Aren’t they adorable and radiant? We also ventured over to the bottom of California street to catch a photo …continue…

A late Christmas post

Soooo, over the holidays we did “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” minus the final day. I wrote the post, I swear I posted it but alas, it disappeared and I didn’t know what happened. Somehow just recently I noticed that I did indeed write and post the final post–to the wrong blog. Whoops. Without further delay, the final day of Christmas… On the last day [til] Christmas, my true love …continue…

Moody Monday: Nursery Nook Inspiration Board

The concept for this board started with people who create a nursery in a closet due to space constraints, like Jordan Ferney’s kids of Oh Happy Day.  The idea for the color scheme came from Moné‘s suggestion via Facebook, who has based her own nursery on the colors cherry red, apple green, black, white, and silver–a palette that is girlie without being pink. The scheme started with a mini crib–the …continue…

Welcome Jackson Riley!

Jackson arrived three weeks ago on Christmas Eve at 12:04pm weighing in at 7lbs and measuring 20.75”. Below are a few photos from his first week and the the story of his birth. Here he is a few hours after he was born. And on Christmas day, finally at home! He’s not always so peaceful looking . . . He has very big feet! Our golden retriever Maddie has been …continue…

Bump Day: Erica @ 18 Weeks

Well, I know we’re in a bit of a time warp still since Erica has already had the baby, but I figured we might as well continue to watch Erica’s bump grow. Here Erica was 18 weeks along, and we headed to the Mission to take this next set of photos. It was barely obvious she was pregnant, but her radiance gives her away. How stunning is she in the …continue…

Double the Fun: Twins Birth Announcement

Remember the photos of this lovely girl?  34 weeks pregnant with twins, and she looked incredible.  Erica and I were asked to also design her birth announcements once the twins were born, and here is the result. (the little blue ticks are the crop marks–I left those so you could tell that the announcement had a small white border around it) She had created the graphic of the stacked animals …continue…
